Tasting Notes

This inaugural release is 100% Estate grown Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. Full of life with a deep cherry color and a ruby hue. A nose of violets and soft oak spice peak through a bouquet of Bing cherries and strawberry jam. Plush and lively on the palate, with a supple mouth feel of black tea leaves and damp earth give finesse and distinction to this valiant effort. Drink now – 2014.

Winemaker’s Notes

Harvested in the first week of September, this 100% Russian River Valley Pinot Noir received a five-day cold soak before being barreled in 100% French Oak. To insure true varietal characteristics, only 25% new Oak was used. Over the next eleven months the wine was racked twice while aging. Bottling was done on August 7th, 2006.
