2006 Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley

Tasting Notes

This 100% Estate grown Pinot Noir boasts a crystalline ruby color. The nose shows cherry and cola through spice and sage. On the palate is a wonderful multilayered essence of wild strawberry and plum. Always balanced and bright, the finish is that of silk and vanilla cream. A terrific purity. Drink 2007 – 2015.

Winemaker’s Notes

Harvested in late September, the Estate Pinot Noir was given a 5 day cold soak prior to barreling. Although using 100% French Oak barrels for aging, only 30% new wood was used to keep the flavors soft and silky. After 11 months of aging the Pinot Noir was bottled in August of 2007 without fining and minimal filtration.
