Deep, dark and seductive, this Syrah exhibits earth, smoke, and spice. Flavors of wild berries and dark currant abound from herb and cedar notes. Mild round tannins hide in a finish of spice box, blackberries and cassis. Beautiful now, this stunner will reward those who will cellar it a few more years. Drink now – 2017.

Winemaker’s Notes

Awaiting optimal fruit, harvest began in November for this beauty of a wine. A well rounded profile comes from a selection of 33% French, 33% Hungarian and 33% American oak. Only 9 months of aging in 45% new wood, and this wine was ready for the bottle in August of 2007.
